Dear Amy, Why Do people bully me for drawing anime and pokemon and stuff?
                                                                                                     With Grace, Mira

    To Mira-kun,
It’s natural for others to pick on you for your interests and hobbies, especially at this stage of our lives. The key to "fixing" your problem is to try not to take their words to heart, and avoid reacting to your tormentor's antics. Remember, don't feed the trolls. They feed on your reactions whatever they may be. Or...you can smother your bully with your fandom until they give in, and become fans themselves. KIDDING! Don't do the that XD.

Middle school is a tough place for many people, people who have gone through, or are going through similar experiences, so you aren't alone. Someday, you'll learn to be fond of who you are and learn to accept your traits. Yes, this sounds utterly cliche but this is the truth. Eventually or hopefully now, you'll have friends with similar interests, or just friends you enjoy being with. There's no need to fret over these snide comments. So just go on out there and live your life to its fullest.

Got to catch them all!
Amy-chan.

Dear Amy,
My friends keep joking around, constantly laugh, and use the number 42. I’m so confused!! Everytime I ask if they repeat that number on purpose, they just giggle, and say it some more. I feel left out, and very confuzzled. I mean, it could be an inside joke, but sometimes random people, that I know haven’t met my friends, laugh along too when they hear that specific number. Whats with all the 42’s?!?
                                                      With all my confusion,
                                                                         42.

   Hiya 42!
DON'T PANIC. The solution to your problem is quite simple, just read “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to The Galaxy” By Adam Douglas. Or you could just watch the film, but, the book is always better!! :)
                                        Over and Out, Amy

Who is the quarterback for the seattle seahawks?
                                                                rainbowdash

Hey rainbowdash!
I am not exactly a football person, however based upon my research the current QB of the Seattle Seahawks is Russell Wilson. If I am wrong, feel free to correct me in the comments section!
You are now 20% cooler ;) Ciao!

Dear Amy,
so what do i do when you have a crush and hes really hot but you dont know if he likes you?

                                                   Love,
                                                      whyyoucray

                 Hi there, whyyoucray!

Hmm, we’re getting to that stage in our lives huh? Crushes can be a big problem and may overwhelm you but only if you make it so. A great tip that I have always liked is to just become closer to your crush and try to squash those irritating insecurities (better said than done). Remember, the key is communication! Communication may not be you one step problem solver, however it is one step closer to reaching out and even possibly catch the eye of your love interest.

First, make sure you crush knows you exist. You may love the thrill of harboring a secretive crush, but it will go nowhere if you person of interest doesn’t know you at all! The easiest solution is to just talk to them! A few chats here and there won’t be creepy, but it will definitely ensure that your crush in some way, acknowledges you. It’s hard to fall in love with someone you didn’t even know existed...
A good tip to a good conversation is to direct the chat to the other talker, nobody wants to hear you go on and on about yourself. Something to keep in mind is to always be truthful, if you don’t, those “white” lies have the potential to turn around and nip you back.

Ahhhhh, the question of knowing if he likes you.... Of course this is the question that is the hardest to answer. Simply because every situation is different. So, I would recommend to just go with your gut. Surprisingly, MY gut has helped me get some decent grades on those pesky multiple choice questions. ;)

Crushes may be difficult and puzzling to figure out, but that is the norm. As troubling as it sounds, not everything will go the way you would like, but there are ways to repair any mistakes you may make. Just remember that honestly, (I’m trying not to be negative) but, your time in middle school will hardly affect anything in the coming years.
I’ll leave you with this, would you rather take your chance now, or toil endlessly over a single person, constantly full of “What If’s?”

                                                         Best Wishes,
                                                                               Amy <3

Thank You, Mathematician

Dear Mathematician,
That was a very interesting question you have there.  However, it didn’t stump me! I used PEMDAS to figure it out, and the answer is about -6533.47. We hope this helps! :D

     Heyo!
So, I’ve kind of been having lots of trouble returning library books recently. I am a very avid reader, and take out like 10,000 books at once, and for some reason I can’t return them on time. It’s not that I don’t finish them before they are due, but I can’t really find a way to bring them to the library on time. Do you think the librarians hate me? Will I ever have to pay a fine? What shall I ever do?!
                                                                                      From,
                                                                                          tHeBoOKwOrM7789

Hullo! tHeBoOKwOrM7789,
I know exactly how you feel! I have always had trouble with returning books myself, being the forgetful person i am. There are two different kinds of libraries i'm guessing, are currently available to you, and that is our very own school library, the Wayne Public Library,and/or any other public library.
Our library at AWMS is a lot more lenient than the Public library. If you have an overdue book, it’s no big deal, and there are no fines issued. However, after a certain amount of days overdue, the book will be marked as lost, and then you will have to pay for the book. Our library has a book drop inside the main entrance of the school! so as you’re just passing by, you can just slip it in there, you have just returned your book efficiently, and effortlessly! The library also opens in the morning before the school doors open, if you’re here a little early, instead of just standing around in the cold, stop by the library and just drop off your book!
The Public Library however, charges you a fine for everyday your book is due. Its is also a bit more difficult to return books there, since you have to find a way to get to the Public library, whereas if you’re at the school, you aren't that far from our library. The Public library also has a book drop outside it’s door, however, the book drop is only open when the library is not.
To remind yourself to return your books, all it really takes is Post-Its and a bold writing utensil. All you need to do is write on the Post-Its things like, “RETURN YOUR BOOK!!”, “DON’T FORGET THE BOOK!!”. It can even be something short like, “LIBRARY!!”, or “LIBRARY BOOKS!”, its just something to jog your memory. Don't forget to write the date they’re due!! I would recommend putting these in places you pass by often, like in your agenda, on your door, in or on the fridge etc. Another fun tip is to try to remember the due date as 1 or 2 days earlier. That way, when you freak out and rush over to return your “overdue” book, you realize that its actually not!! I hope these quick tips helps you somewhat, and anyone else that might find similar troubles as yours.
                                                         Cheers!
                                                              Amy

Hi Amy!!
I’m a part of the Ski Club, and it’s lots of FUN. It starts right after school, and we come home really late. People are always talking about homework, and how there are worried about not finishing it in time. Now I’m worried!! I was wondering, do you have any tips, or bits of advice that you can shower me with, to help me keep my teachers happy, and grades up, while still getting my awesome sleep.

                                                                                        Tootles,
                                                              MORE-SLEEP-PLZ

Greetings, MORE-SLEEP-PLZ!
You’re definitely in a pickle! Many of my friends are also in the ski club, and it can get tough trying to balance school work with after school activities. The bus ride to Mountain Creek is quite a long ride, to and fro. You can catch your ZZZ’s there on the bus, and work on homework at home. Or, preferably, try getting some homework done on the super long bus ride.
Your teachers most likely understand that you get home very late. Try asking ahead of time if you can get an extension of the due date, but DO NOT use it as an excuse the day it’s due. You can also try asking your teacher for homework sheets early so you can get a head start, and have them complete by the due date.
Another easy solution to completing long-term projects and assignments, is to begin/finish them early and not procrastinate. You will get them done quicker, and won’t have to worry about stressing over not finishing what was due.
We hope this helps you, and anyone else in the Ski Club, out!
