The Country Who Cried Wolf
Have you ever been angry at someone to the point where you made preparations to come through on previous threats? Then you are not alone. North Korea has been doing the same thing, threatening to do a missile test, though they stress it would not have nuclear warheads on.
There are many plausible reasons as to why North Korea has bombs out and are ready to let them fly. One reason being, that after North Korea tested a missile back in 2006, they were threatened with a punishment from the UN Security Council, unless they stop. They did not listen and then the UN forbade other countries from trading with North Korea in areas like technology and material.
North Korea has recently moved two missiles to the coast. The range of this specific type of missile, called a Musudan missile, is 1,800 to 2,180 miles, not far enough to hit any part of the United States. There are alternatives, like launching at South Korea and the United States island of Guam. The United States and South Korean militaries are on alert 24/7 because this threat seems like it might actually happen, unlike the numerous ones in the past. Not only the moving of the missiles, but the evacuation warning that North Korea has been issuing to foreigners in both North and South Korea, has proven they mean business. The Gaesong Industrial Complex closed down and so did the last bond that North and South Korea shared. Even in other countries like Indonesia, fighter jets scout the sky, in search of danger. The test has not been made yet, and people are starting to wonder, will it ever come from this country trying to show their strength while crying wolf.
