One Step Closer
The first two rounds of the NBA playoffs are complete and now only four teams remain. The Memphis Grizzlies, the San Antonio Spurs, the Indiana Pacers, and the Miami Heat. Memphis and San Antonio are battling for the western conference title. Memphis will be looking to get into the NBA finals for the first time in franchise history while the Spurs will be trying to get to championship for the fourth time in the last decade. Fighting for the eastern conference crown will be the Indiana Pacers and the Miami Heat. Miami will be trying to win the eastern conference for the third straight year and then move to repeat as NBA champions. Indiana looks to get to the NBA finals for the first time since 2000. That series kicked off Wednesday. However the Memphis vs San Antonio series has been going on since Sunday. San Antonio hosted the first two games and won both games. Game one is an impressive 105-83 victory and game two with a tight 93-89 overtime win after the Grizzlies battled back from a fourteen-point, fourth quarter deficit. The next game in that series will be played on Saturday. Both series seem to be too close to call with the talent levels on both teams. Hopefully by the end of next week, we will have a championship series ready to be played.
