Twilight Revisited Movie review by Sean H.
I dislike the Twilight series. I just don’t like it. It’s poorly written, and the movies are poorly acted, with poor CGI. It’s just plain bad. The last and hopefully, final Twilight movie came out and, of course, it was well received. Why, you ask, kind sir or madam? Who dislikes the Twilight series? The overwhelming amount of “Twi-hards” going to see it have never actually experienced a real relationship and think it’s an interesting twist on the timeless classic of love. I would probably agree with this statement if the books weren’t written so badly.
Sadly, we are not here to get on the Twilight-hate bandwagon. No, my job here today is to give you my honest opinion on Twilight: Breaking Dawn part 2… As you would probably guess from the negative things I’ve said about Twilight so far, I didn’t like it. The movie was bad, but hey, this is the last Twilight movie! So Kristen Stewart (Bella in the movie) and Robert Pattinson have a baby. This isn’t any baby, it’s a “vampire baby” (scary, I know). So apparently “vampire babies” are super-duper not allowed. Reason being that, apparently, they can’t control their “vampire baby” (You know what? The jokes dead, I’m not doing it again) instincts and they might get the whole vampire race exposed. So the head vampire guys kill them. Simple, right? Nope, Bella wasn’t having any of that with her child. So they get a ton of vampires from around the world as “witnesses” (because that’s so helpful when the bad vampires are coming any way, this totally wasn’t an excuse to get more characters for the “big” fight scene at the end) to help tell the evil vampires that the baby wasn’t bad.
So an hour or so goes by of bad actors performing a bad script from bad source material, before the big super-awesome-chocolaty-fudge-coated-mega fight scene. No blood. That was really odd for a movie with a lot of decapitation and a character who gets fed to poorly CGI’d wolves. Also, vampires are supposed to be super strong (especially in this series) yet they’re just snapping each other’s necks left, right, and center. And why bring the kid (the now little girl, who for some reason aged super rapidly) to the fight with the people who are trying to kill her? Nice parenting Kristen and Robert. Anyway, rather than give away “spoilers” (which I don’t even consider spoilers because of how little of a plot this movie actually had if you sat back and looked at it objectively) the ending was amazing because at this point I could hear my brain cells frying one by one and wanted it to end. So if you like Twilight, go see it. If you don’t like it, don’t see it. And if you have any respect for actual well-made movies, don’t ever go near a Twilight movie. So please can we all bury Twilight and never ever speak of it ten years from now? There is no questioning it, by the standards other movies have set, this was bad.

Breaking Dawn Part 2
Breaking Dawn part two hit the movies on November 16, 2012 at 10 pm. It is now the #1 movie in America, raising 63 million dollars in the box office. I asked a couple of students at AWMS what they think about the movie coming out, being the #1 movie in America, and I received the following reactions.
“I have been waiting for this all my LIFE!" and “OMG, I LOVE IT!”
I did ask two guys what they think about the movie coming out, and they responded a little differently. “This is not my type of movie" and “I am more into action movies not a romantic drama.” Although Twilight has gotten the name of a "chick flick," the conclusion of the movie is the most violent yet, startling some moviegoers. In fact, you may not be able to believe the fight over the Cullen’s daughter, Renesmee.
You heard it! There are people out there who are excited and some that just don’t like it but I did get to see the movie on November 18 and I have to say it was filled with action and drama and a shocking ending.
Breaking Dawn has made a record in Twilight history!
