I HAVE A QUESTION!! I seriously do not understand why people have to scream, "SHHHHHHHHH!" So loud when the teacher tells us to quiet down. They're just like, "SHHHHHH! Guys she is trying to teach." And I'm just sitting there like, "You're the one causing the problem." I don't understand why they are telling everyone to be quiet when ther are the one making all the noise by going, "SHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Please expalin things to me... Thanks XP
                SHHHHHHH! >:(

Hallo (That’s German for Hello XD )  SHHHHHHH! >:(!

Yes, we all agree we’ve felt this at one point. Yes, it does wrack on our brains for it to be considered annoying and aggravating. But people are oblivious to this, but they truly believe that this might be helping the teacher. It’s only accustomed for us to do this since it has been hardwired into us since kindergarten that the universal for ‘Shhhh’ to be directed as ‘Be quiet you nuisances!’ for whatever reason it may apply to. This gesture has been carried out for many generations, including ours today. But the only best way to point this out to your peers is just by quietly exclaiming that it is disruptive as well and consider using an alternative.
    Farewell,

Amy,
My friend carlos doesn't like me because I said something. How can I be his friend again? From, Kawrlosh

Hello Kawrlosh!! I heard you’ve been having some troubles with your friends and I’m here to help! First of all, try not to avoid the problem. Avoiding the problem for too long will make sure that there is no resolution to your quarrel. There won’t be any resolving if you cannot even make direct interaction with him!  You got to be able to confront him. Although, keep in mind, you may want to space yourselves out a bit in the beginning to let yourself cool and calm down,  just so it’s easier to reevaluate and think. You could be adding wood to the fire by opening the “wound” too soon! Once you and your friend have cooled, try confronting your friend non-forcefully and be gentle when you’re communicating with him. Tone is the key factor! Make you sound calm and collected. If you were him, you wouldn’t want someone spitting out an apology with an inconsiderate tone. Being sincere about the problem is something that you should consider. So take some time and plan out what you are going to say to your friend as a reconciliation note. You have to be willing to admit fault and be able to compromise if you want to salvage your friendship. Try not to lose your temper and make it personal and private if you can! Otherwise, good luck!

Salutations,
Amy

Is it annoying to answer so many questions?

                    No Name

Hey No Name!
It is a little overwhelming to receive so many questions, but it's definitely not annoying! I do admit, I had never imagined that Ask Amy would ever get this big! The response I got was exciting, but it can get nerve wracking because I want to answer everyone’s questions to be as helpful as it can in a timely manner. Some questions may be difficult, but I enjoy answering every single one of them.
                                                     Take Care!

I can't come up with good code names. Can you please help? Thanks!

No Name

        Hullo No Name!

You don’t really need good codenames. Anything is fine! If you want, just do something related to the question, like “Dear Amy, my pet rock is constantly trying to run away. Help!” Then maybe you could make your codename “Rockless” or something similar. Just connect it to your question! Another thing you could try is use your username to express who you are. for example if you love puppies, maybe your code name would be "puppylover42". Or, you if you still can’t think of anything, just do something random like “1234sdffd/:)/”. Honestly, we don't mind. Codenames are just there to help askers stay anonymous, you don’t even need a code name if you feel comfortable enough! I hope I helped!

            Ciao!
